Yankees' Miguel Andujar: Promoted to majors Saturday
Andujar was called up prior to Saturday's game against the Orioles.
Andujar has only made one major-league appearance this season, but he delivered a terrific debut, going 3-for-4 with four RBI against the White Sox in late June. Looking ahead, the 22-year-old prospect might not see much playing time down the stretch, but manager Joe Girardi has high expectations for the third baseman and will be interested to see if he can duplicate his phenomenal Triple-A numbers -- .317/.364/.502 with nine home runs and 30 RBI in 58 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre -- at the major-league level over an extended period of time.
