The Yankees have signed third baseman Josh Bell to a minor-league deal, CLNS Radio reports. He went 0 for 2 with two walks in his first game with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The White Sox released Bell on May 7 after he hit .273/.310/.345 in 58 plate appearances with Triple-A Charlotte. He owns a .195/.223/.265 line in 282 major-league plate appearances in his career.
