Yankees' Zack Granite: Reassigned to alternate site

Granite was optioned to the Yankees' alternate training site Tuesday.

Granite signed with the Yankees last November on a minor-league deal, but he was never in serious contention for a spot on the team's initial 30-man big-league roster. The 27-year-old does have major-league experience, so he could be an option at some point this season if the Yankees need to fill a spot in the outfield.
