Yusmeiro Petit: Non-tendered by Giants
The Giants declined to tender Petit a contract for 2016, Andrew Baggarly of the Bay Area News Group reports.
While Petit turned in another fine season in 2015, posting a 3.67 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 76 innings, it seems the estimated price in his third year of arbitration was simply too much for San Francisco. Petit earned $2.1 million last season in his second year of arbitration. He should have plenty of potential suitors on the open market.
