      Gonzalez is not in the lineup Sunday against Atlanta, Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports. Gonzalez sits for just the third time in the Rockies' last 33 games. He's hitting .316/.395/.579 over that stretch. David Dahl will slide over to right field Sunday, with Gerardo Parra starting in left.

    • Gonzalez is not in the lineup against Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports. Gonzalez will receive a rare day off -- his first since July 10 -- as David Dahl gets a start in right field in his absence. Since the All-Star break, Gonzalez has hit .313/.361/.567 with three home runs and 10 RBI. Look for him to rejoin the starting nine Thursday versus the Dodgers.

      Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Pirates. Gonzalez provided all of Colorado's offense in this one, plating a pair with his sixth-inning double in the 10-2 defeat. The 32-year-old hit a blazing .345/.389/.667 in July, and he's now gotten off to a solid start in August as well. Through seven games in the month, he's 7-for-27 with a homer, two doubles and four RBI.

      Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's loss to the Brewers. Gonzalez took Junior Guerra deep for his 14th homer of the year. Gonzalez has recorded a hit in five straight games, bringing his slash line to .291/.340/.505 on the year. The 32-year-old has matched his home run total from last year in 47 fewer games, and is hitting well above the .262 average he put up as well.
