    • Yankees' Austin Romine: Serves suspension Friday
      By RotoWire Staff

Romine had his suspension as a result of his role in August's brawl with the Tigers reduced to one game and served it Friday, Mike Mazzeo of the New York Daily News reports. Romine had his suspension knocked down from two games to one on appeal, and the whole ordeal is behind him now that he served the ban in Friday's tilt. The backup catcher could be back behind the plate as early as Saturday with an afternoon game on tap against the Rangers.

    • Yankees' Austin Romine: Back in action Thursday
      By RotoWire Staff

Romine (hand) is batting eighth and playing catcher for Thursday's game against the Indians, Bryan Hoch of reports. Romine was apparently healthy enough to play Monday night, so it was just a matter of time before manager Joe Girardi worked him back into the lineup. He'll continue to play second fiddle to Gary Sanchez behind the plate moving forward.

    • Yankees' Austin Romine: Could have played Monday
      By RotoWire Staff

Romine (hand) was available off the bench Monday, George A. King of the New York Post reports. Romine took a foul ball off the neck and was hit by a pitch on his hand Sunday, and though he said he was sore after playing catch, it sounds as he could have been used if needed in an emergency situation. Gary Sanchez will continue to slot in as the regular catcher in New York.

    • Romine was diagnosed with a bruised left hand after X-rays came back negative Sunday, Bryan Hoch of reports. Romine was forced out of Sunday's contest prematurely after getting hit on the hand by a pitch, but it seems like he avoided any major problems in this instance. Consider him day-to-day for the time being, although given that he isn't the regular starter behind the plate, Gary Sanchez will likely get most of the innings as catcher regardless of whether Romine is healthy or not.

    • Yankees' Austin Romine: Departs following HBP
      By RotoWire Staff

Romine exited Sunday's game against the Rays early after being hit by a pitch on his left hand, Bryan Hoch of reports. Romine appeared to be in quite a bit of pain after being struck on the hand by a pitch during the sixth inning. He stayed in the game while on the basepaths but was replaced by Gary Sanchez behind the plate between innings. He'll be considered day-to-day until a clear diagnosis of his injury becomes available.
