ESPN Deportes reports that infielder Yamaico Navarro has officially signed a deal to play for the Samsung Lions in Korea. Navarro, who was signed by the Yankees in November, reached an agreement with Samsung last week.

Navarro went 8 for 28 in eight games with the Orioles last season before being designated for assignment. He hit .267/.354/.418 with 12 home runs, 53 RBI and nine stolen bases in 390 at-bats with Triple-A Norfolk in 2013.

His single to left in the fourth inning drove home Chris Davis and Navarro added another RBI single in the seventh inning. It was his first two RBI on the year after seven games. Navarro has hit in all but two of the games in which he's appeared and that gives him a .320 average.
