    • Dodgers' Jeremy Bleich: Signs with Dodgers

      Bleich signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers on Saturday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. The left-handed reliever was released by the Diamondbacks last month. Bleich spent 2016 with Double-A Reading in the Phillies organization, where he posted a 4.14 ERA over 41.1 innings. He'll provide organizational pitching depth at Triple-A Oklahoma City, but will need to improve upon his 24:14 K:BB if he wants to earn his first shot at the big leagues.

    • Bleich signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. Bleich was in the Pirates' minor league system all of 2016, spending most of his time with Double-A Reading, where he accumulated a 4.14 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched to go along with a 23:14 K:BB ratio. He'll give the Diamondbacks some additional relief depth in the minors.

    • The Phillies signed Bleich to a minor league contract, Baseball America reports. Bleich spent last season in the Pirates' minor league system. He was 1-2 with a 2.88 ERA and a 42:14 K:BB ratio in 56.1 innings across three levels. He will give the Phillies some additional relief depth in the minors.

    • Pirates' Taillon, Sadler, Hanson among cuts Thursday

      The Pirates announced Thursday they optioned elite pitching prospect Jameson Taillon to Triple-A Indianapolis. They also optioned pitcher Casey Sadler and infielder Alen Hanson to Triple-A. Outfielder Willy Garcia was optioned to Double-A Altoona, while pitchers Collin Balester, Jeremy Bleich, infielder Gift Ngoepe and outfielder Mel Rojas Jr. were reassigned to minor-league camp.
