    • Angels' Mike Trout: Remains in DH slot
      By RotoWire Staff

Trout will serve as the designated hitter and is hitting second Thursday against Seattle. Trout participated in pregame warmups Thursday and gained clearance to man center field, but the Angels will keep him in the designated hitter spot for one more night after weather delayed the team's flight Wednesday evening. The former MVP is expected to start in center field Friday, per J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News.

    • Trout (groin) went 0-for-2 with three walks and two runs Monday in the Angels' 12-7 loss to the Rangers. After missing nearly a week with the groin injury, Trout was eased back into action as the Angels' designated hitter and made a huge impact on offense without even recording a hit. The Angels could limit Trout's usage in the outfield and encourage him to act conservatively on the basepaths until the groin issue is further in the rear-view mirror, but it shouldn't prove overly detrimental to his fantasy outlook.

    • Angels' Mike Trout: Back in action as DH
      By RotoWire Staff

Trout (groin) is back in the lineup as the Angels' designated hitter Monday against the Rangers. A groin strain kept Trout away from the team during the Angels' weekend series with the Cubs, but he's improved as the team hoped and won't end up needing a trip to the injured list. It remains to be seen when he'll retake his place in center field, which Brian Goodwin occupies Monday.

    • Angels' Mike Trout: Rejoining Angels on Monday
      By RotoWire Staff

Trout will join the Angels on Monday in Texas after testing Sunday showed further improvement to his right groin. Trout remained in Anaheim for the weekend trip to Chicago, but he appears to be progressing as planned from the right groin strain. The 27-year-old should still be considered day-to-day but for now looks to have avoided a trip to the injured list.

    • Angels' Mike Trout: Could miss weekend series
      By RotoWire Staff

Trout (groin) is not expected to head to the injured list, but he may miss the entirety of the team's weekend series against the Cubs, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Trout remained in California while the rest of the team started a series at Wrigley Field on Friday. He's being checked on by team doctors but will reportedly not require an MRI. The team is considering having him sit out over the weekend and then rejoin his teammates Monday in Texas.
