    • Pollock went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and two runs in Wednesday's 13-7 win over the Padres. Petco Park has been a tough environment for hitters in the past, but it didn't hinder Pollock one bit during the Diamondbacks' three-game series loss. The outfielder reached base eight times during the series and collected four extra-base hits, including three home runs.

    • Pollock went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double and two solo home runs in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Padres. He was the only D-backs hitter to have any kind of success on the night against Travis Wood, who only gave up one other hit -- a fifth-inning single by Brandon Drury -- aside from Pollock's blasts. The center fielder is ending the year on a high note, slashing .429/.500/.964 over his last eight games with three homers and 12 RBI.

    • Pollock is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants. Pollock will receive a well-earned day of rest following 12 consecutive starts. The veteran outfielder is riding a six-game hitting streak with an impressive five doubles and 10 RBI over that stretch. Rey Fuentes will take over in center field and bat eighth in his stead.

    • Pollock went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI in Thursday's 7-0 win over the Rockies. Pollock cleared the bases with a three-run double to chase starter Chad Bettis with only one out in the first inning. He added an RBI single in the fifth to complete a second consecutive four-RBI effort. Pollock's RBI total was sitting at 32 through 97 games, but has climbed to 40 after these past two performances.

    • Pollock went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Rockies. It's his 10th homer of the year and first in September, as Pollock's .233/.327/.442 slash line on the month has come in well below expectations. He does have five hits -- including three doubles and the home run -- over his last three games, however, so the center fielder may be poised for an offensive surge over the final weeks of the season.
