    • Reds option Juan Duran, Yorman Rodriguez

      The Reds made their first round of spring cuts Tuesday, optioning outfielder Juan Duran to Double-A Pensacola and outfielder Yorman Rodriguez to Triple-A Louisville. The team also re-assigned eight players to minor league camp, including infielder Neftali Soto, outfielders Ryan LaMarre and Jesse Winker and pitchers Jonathon Crawford, Ismael Guillon, Nick Howard, Robert Stephenson and Nick Travieso.

    • Pitcher Ismael Guillon has cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville, but has now been invited to Reds spring training, the team announced Friday. Guillon pitched for high class A Bakersfield in 2014, posting a 1-6 record with a 6.79 ERA in 12 games. He also added 45 strikeouts in 58 1/3 innings pitched.

    • The Reds announced several roster moves on Saturday, per the team's official website. The team signed right-hander Burke Badenhop to a one-year contract with a mutual option for 2016. In a corresponding move, Cincinnati also designated left-hander Ismael Guillon for assignment, and signed right-hander Kevin Gregg to a minor-league deal with a spring training invite. Badenhop pitched for the Red Sox in 2014, registering a 2.29 ERA over 70 2/3 innings of work. Gregg last pitched for the Marlins in 2014. He allowed 10 earned runs, including 10 home runs in nine innings of work with Miami.

    • Lotzkar among Reds' cuts

      The Reds made their first big cuts of the 2013 spring training season on Tuesday and among those optioned to Triple-A Louisville were starting pitcher candidates Tony Cingrani and Daniel Corcino. Pitchers Kyle Lotzkar and Josh Ravin were optioned to Double-A Pensacola. Pitcher Carlos Contreras and outfielder Yorman Rodriguez were sent to Class A Bakersfield, while pitcher Ismael Guillon was optioned to Class A Dayton. Several others were reassigned to minor league camp and they are as follows: RHP Nick Christiani, RHP Chad Rogers, C Nevin Ashley, IF Kristopher Negron and OF Ryan LaMarre.
