  • Gustave was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Saturday. The Brewers added a couple arms to bolster the bullpen after starter Freddy Peralta only made it two innings Friday against St. Louis. Miguel Sanchez got the call alongside Gustave, who had been rehabbing at Triple-A Nashville after a positive COVID test in early August. Gustave will look to keep his scoreless streak with Milwaukee intact now that he's back on the active roster.

  • Gustave (COVID-19) reported to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday to begin a rehab assignment, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. The right-hander has been sidelined since early August after testing positive for COVID-19, so he'll head to Triple-A to get back up to game speed before being activated. Gustave has given up only three hits with a 4:2 K:BB across seven scoreless frames for the Brewers this season.

  • Gustave (illness) was cleared to rejoin the Brewers for workouts over the weekend, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Gustave is working out again after completing a 15-day quarantine following his positive COVID-19 test. Even before he was deactivated, the 28-year-old wasn't seeing high-leverage work out of the Milwaukee bullpen, so the Brewers aren't likely to be in any rush to reinstate him from the COVID-19 injured list. He'll likely head out on a minor-league rehab assignment once he gets a few throwing sessions under his belt.

  • Gustave tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Gustave hit the COVID-19 injured list in late July due to his status as a close contact of teammates who had tested positive for the virus. Now that he's tested positive as well, he'll be out for a longer period.

  • Gustave was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Saturday. Gustave is considered a close contact after teammates Hunter Strickland and Jake Cousins tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, so he'll be away from the team. As long as the 28-year-old doesn't test positive for the virus, he'll be able to return as soon as he clears the league's protocols.
