    • Giants' Jandel Gustave: Heading to minor-league camp
      By RotoWire Staff

Gustave (elbow) was reassigned to the Giants' minor-league camp Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports. Gustave signed a minor-league deal with the Giants in February after he missed the entirety of the 2018 season following Tommy John surgery in June 2017. The 26-year-old posted a 3.98 ERA and 18:11 K:BB over 20.1 innings with Houston in 2016 and 2017, but it remains unclear where he is currently at in his recovery.

Prior to suffering the injury, the right-hander posted a combined 3.98 ERA and 18:11 K:BB across 20.1 innings with the Astros in 2016 and 2017.

    • Astros' Jandel Gustave: Hits 10-day DL
      By RotoWire Staff

The Astros placed Gustave (elbow) on the 10-day disabled list Thursday, MLB.com reports. Gustave is just past the nine-month mark in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, and given the year-plus healing timetable typically associated with the procedure, he'll likely shift to the 60-day DL at some point when the Astros need to clear up a roster spot. The right-hander is close to resuming mound work and could be ready to begin a rehab assignment at some point during the summer.

    • Gustave (elbow) will have a limited workout plan with his throwing in spring training as he continues to recover from Tommy John surgery, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic Houston reports. Gustave, who went under the knife last June, is hopeful to resume mound work by the time camp draws to a close. He'll likely remain at extended spring training for several weeks beyond that in order for the Astros to monitor his recovery before he embarks on a lengthy rehab assignment with multiple affiliates. Don't count on the right-hander, who has made 20 appearances in the big leagues over the last two seasons, to resurface with the Astros until the second half of the campaign.
