    • Snelten signed a minor-league contract with the Rays on Monday as a non-roster invitee, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Snelten was let go by the Orioles in March and was unable to find a home during the 2019 season, but he'll get the chance to work with the Rays' major-league coaches during spring training. Snelten carries a 3.64 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP at the Triple-A level over his past three seasons, but he'll need to prove himself again in order to return to the majors after he had a disappointing big-league debut with the Giants in 2018.

    • The Orioles released Snelten on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Snelten was a member of the Orioles' 40-man roster for a two-week stretch last season but never made any appearances for the big-league club before being outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk. The lefty didn't impress during his time in the International League with a 5.52 ERA and 1.96 WHIP in 29.1 innings, which likely influenced the team's decision to cut ties.

    • Snelten cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Snelten will be one step further from the big leagues as he's been removed from the Orioles' 40-man roster. He tossed 4.1 innings for the Giants earlier this year, posting a 10.38 ERA.

    • Snelten was designated for assignment by Baltimore on Friday. Snelten was recently claimed off waivers by the Orioles but didn't do much to impress at the Triple-A level, allowing five earned runs off nine hits in just three innings of relief with Norfolk. He will be exposed to waivers for the second time this season, though it's unlikely that he will make an impact in the majors with another organization any time soon.

    • Snelten was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Monday. Snelten was subsequently optioned to Triple-A Norfolk, where he'll serve as organizational bullpen depth. The 26-year-old struggled to a 10.38 ERA and 2.77 WHIP across 4.1 innings with the Giants prior to being designated for assignment. He posted a more respectable 4.08 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 15:9 K:BB across 17.2 innings with Triple-A Sacramento.
