    • Braves' Dansby Swanson: May return Monday
      By RotoWire Staff

Swanson (foot) could be activated off the 10-day injured list for Monday's game at Colorado, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. Swanson began his rehab assignment with Low-A Rome on Thursday and is 4-for-10 with three walks in three games. The 25-year-old has been sidelined since July 23 and would provide a major boost for the Braves as the regular season reaches its final month. Per Bowman, Swanson traveled to Denver on Sunday but isn't guaranteed to be activated immediately. He has a .265/.330/.468 lash line with 17 homers through 100 games.

    • Swanson (foot) could be activated during this upcoming road trip if his first few rehab games with Low-A Rome go well, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. He begins his rehab assignment as the designated hitter Thursday for Rome. The Braves have a three-game series against the Mets that ends Sunday, then a makeup game in Colorado on Monday followed by a two-game series in Toronto, so Swanson could be an option in weekly leagues next week.

    • Swanson (foot) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Rome on Thursday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. He has been sidelined since July 23, and while his recovery has not been as smooth as expected, Swanson is on track to rejoin the team when rosters expand in September. He will be deployed initially as the designated hitter for his first rehab game. In the meantime, Adeiny Hechavarria and Charlie Culberson will get starts at shortstop.

    • Swanson (foot) is hoping to begin a rehab assignment sometime this week, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. Swanson's recovery has not gone as planned, but it sounds like he should at least make it back sometime in September. He had recently increased his on-field activities.

    • Swanson (foot) increased his on-field activities Saturday, fielding a round of grounders at shortstop, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. It was reported earlier in the week that Swanson had been doing some hitting and was fielding short hops from his knees. He has taken another step forward, but Swanson is still not especially close to playing in games. The Braves just signed Adeiny Hechavarria on Friday to help out at shortstop while Swanson is on the mend.
