Acuna went 4-for-5 with two doubles and a two-run home run in Friday's 8-1 win over the Phillies. The young superstar fell one base short of hitting for a cycle. Acuna already has four multi-hit performances and seven extra-base hits (four doubles and three homers) through seven games, giving him a blistering .393/.433/.857 slash line.
Acuna went 3-for-6 with a double, two runs, one RBI, two stolen bases and one walk during Wednesday's doubleheader sweep at Washington. The 23-year-old followed up Tuesday's two-homer performance by going 3-for-4 in Wednesday's matinee to help the Braves snatch their first win of the season. Acuna is 7-for-23 with two home runs, two doubles, four RBI, two stolen bases, two walks and six strikeouts through the first six games of 2021.
Acuna went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs and three RBI during Tuesday's 6-5 loss at Washington. The 23-year-old had gone 0-for-8 with four strikeouts over the previous two games, but he took Max Scherzer deep twice Tuesday, including a leadoff homer on the first pitch of the afternoon. Acuna will look to build on that production in Wednesday's twin bill against the Nationals.
Acuna went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk in Thursday's extra-inning loss to the Phillies. The 23-year-old did his job setting the table as the leadoff hitter, but the heart of the Atlanta order wasn't able to take advantage. Acuna is expected to produce massive fantasy numbers once again after falling only three steals shy of a 40-40 campaign in 2019.
Acuna homered for the third time in his last four games during Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins, Gabriel Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "When he gets in that mode, it's something fun to watch," manager Brian Snitker said after Monday's game. "Good takes. He's not chasing. You can tell, seeing the at-bats, that he's getting locked in a little bit." The 23-year-old had a slow start to the spring and still only has five hits in 24 at-bats (.208), but four of those knocks have gone for extra bases. Acuna fell three steals shy of a 40-40 season in 2019 and posted a career-high .331 ISO last year, and there's no reason to expect anything but massive fantasy production from him in 2021.
