  • Kiriloff (wrist) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday. The move has no impact on Kiriloff's recovery timeline, as he's already been ruled out for the year after undergoing surgery in late July. The procedure's eight-week recovery timeline means he won't make it back this season but should still leave him with plenty of time to get ready for next year. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the Twins to select Nick Vincent's contract.

  • Kirilloff underwent successful surgery on his right wrist Friday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports. Kirilloff's procedure didn't reveal anything concerning, and he'll head to Florida soon to begin his recovery process. The 23-year-old is expected to require eight weeks of rehab after his procedure, meaning he would miss the remainder of the 2021 season.

  • Kirilloff is expected to require eight weeks of rehab after undergoing surgery on his right wrist later this week and won't retake the field for the Twins this season, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The 23-year-old landed on the injured list Wednesday and will see his rookie campaign come to an early end. Kirilloff sprained the wrist back in May, and he'll undergo a procedure to repair the torn ligament after a recent dip in productivity. He could rejoin the Twins for the final stretch of the season to finish his rehab and be around the team, but he won't return to game action in 2021. Kirilloff will finish his rookie campaign with a .251/.299/.423 slash line, eight home runs, 11 doubles, 34 RBI and 23 runs in 231 plate appearances.

  • Kirilloff is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox. After he was on the bench for one half of Monday's doubleheader, Kirilloff will take a seat again in favor of Miguel Sano. The rookie is a 1-for-15 slump over his past five games, but his .722 OPS on the season and the Twins' status as a non-contender should give him a decent amount of job security moving forward.

  • Kirilloff is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader with the White Sox. Miguel Sano will get the nod at first base in place of Kirilloff, ending a streak of six consecutive starts for the rookie. Expect Kirilloff -- who is hitting .245 with two home runs and seven RBI through 13 games in July -- to re-enter the lineup for the second game of the twin bill.
