Kieboom will sit Sunday against the Pirates. Kieboom has shown more at the plate this season than he did in the previous two years, but he's gone cold over his last 16 games, hitting .206/.265/.317. He'll sit for the first time since July 29, with Adrian Sanchez taking over at third base.
Kieboom went 4-for-8 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI across both games of Saturday's doubleheader split with the Mets. The young third baseman has caught fire over the last week, batting .348 (8-for-23) over his last six games with two homers, four RBI and six runs. The hot streak has pushed Kieboom's slash line on the year up to .248/.344/.419, and a big September would go a long way toward locking him into the starting job at the hot corner for 2022 and beyond.
Kieboom went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk during Tuesday's loss to the Phillies. Kieboom took Matt Moore deep with a 406-footer in the fourth inning. It was the sixth long ball of the year for the 23-year-old, who has tallied two long balls in as many games. Overall this season, he's batting .237/.341/.421 with six homers.
Kieboom went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Phillies. He took Zack Wheeler deep in the third inning, but the Nats were already in a 6-2 hole at that point. Kieboom has three of his five homers on the season in his last 11 games, but his .179/.319/.436 slash line and 5:14 BB:K over that stretch indicate he's got a long way to go before he'll be a reliable fantasy asset.
Kieboom went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk in Sunday's 9-4 loss to the Mets. Since being called back up in late July in the wake of Starlin Castro being placed on administrative leave and later handed a 30-game suspension, Kieboom has handled an everyday role at third base. Despite receiving his most extended look at the big-league level to date, Kieboom has yet to generate much enthusiasm from a fantasy perspective. In 124 plate appearances since the All-Star break, the 23-year-old is slashing .226/.333/.368 with four home runs, no stolen bases, 14 runs and 13 RBI.
