  • Ramirez (1-2) got the win in Sunday's 10-4 extra-innings victory against the Diamondbacks, striking out one in one inning. Ramirez entered in the 10th inning of a tie game and retired two straight Diamondbacks with the winning run on third to keep the game going. Seattle went on to score six runs in the top of the 11th to earn Ramirez his first career win. The 26-year-old righty has taken on a larger role of late, permitting just one run in his last 7.1 innings across seven appearances while recording Sunday's win and two saves in the process.

  • Ramirez fired a perfect 10th inning while striking out one to earn the save in the win over the Diamondbacks on Friday. Ramirez entered the 10th inning with a one-run lead and a runner on second base. He retired the side in order, picking up his second save of the season. The reliever has a 3.86 ERA and 0.80 WHIP with 24 strikeouts in 18.2 innings. He does not normally pitch in save situations, but extra-innings allowed him to receive another rare opportunity.

  • Ramirez (0-2) was charged with the loss in an extra-innings defeat at the hands of the Royals on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit over one inning. He struck out one. Charged with preserving a 6-6 tie when he entered in the 12th inning, Ramirez retired the first two hitters he faced before surrendering a go-ahead two-run home run to Edward Olivares that would prove to be the difference in the contest. The stumble snapped a brief three-outing scoreless streak for Ramirez, who was notably making his fourth appearance in seven days Friday.

  • Ramirez recorded two outs, including one strikeout, to earn a save over Houston on Sunday. Ramirez continues to shuffle between Seattle and Triple-A Tacoma but made good use of his time in the bigs this weekend. Over the last two games, he tossed 2.1 perfect innings with five strikeouts and a save. The 6-foot-4 righty could head back to the minors once Casey Sadler (paternity leave) returns to the Mariners.

  • Ramirez was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday. Ramirez has spent a lot of time on Interstate 5 lately, as he was called up Aug. 12, optioned four days later and has now been called up again four days after that. He's thrown a total of 12.1 innings at the major-league level this season, struggling to a 5.11 ERA despite a 0.89 WHIP. He'll take the bullpen spot that had belonged to Casey Sadler, who was placed on the paternity list.
