  • Paredes (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports. Paredes spent just over three weeks on the injured list, and he allowed a run on a hit and two walks in one inning across two rehab appearances. The right-hander recorded a lackluster 6.23 ERA and 2.77 WHIP in 8.2 innings with the Astros to begin the season, and he'll remain with the Triple-A club now that he's healthy.

  • Paredes (shoulder) will report to Triple-A Sugar Land to begin a rehab assignment within the next week, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports. The 25-year-old has been on the shelf since June 11 with a strained right shoulder, so he should only require a couple games in the minors before being activated. Paredes has struggled in 12 big-league appearances this year with a 6.23 ERA, 2.77 WHIP and 15:17 K:BB across 8.2 innings.

  • Paredes was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports. Paredes exited his relief appearance Thursday with the shoulder issue. Manager Dusty Baker had already deemed the right-hander unavailable for Friday's series opener against the Twins, but now Paredes is set for a longer absence. The Astros have yet to disclose a timetable for his return, but the reliever will be eligible to come off the IL on June 21. Ralph Garza was recalled in a corresponding roster move.
