    • Suzuki went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a pair of doubles, three RBI and three runs, helping the Braves to a 12-4 triumph over the Mets on Thursday. The explosive effort brought Suzuki's slash line up to .317/.420/.610 over 41 at-bats and he's been getting the lion's share of the work at catcher with Tyler Flowers out of action with an oblique injury. His hot bat makes him usable for fantasy purposes for the time being, but Flowers' eventual return figures to put a dent in his workload whenever it takes place.

    • Braves' Kurt Suzuki: Takes seat Tuesday
      By RotoWire Staff

Suzuki is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies. Suzuki will head to the bench for what appears to be a regular day off after starting each of the previous four games behind the dish. Carlos Perez will start at backstop and hit eighth in his stead.

    • Suzuki went 3-for-6 with a single and a pair of solo homers in Wednesday's win over the Nationals. Both of Suzuki's homers gave the Braves a one-run advantage -- in the fourth inning and the 11th -- but the team wasn't able to hang onto either lead. The backstop had just three hits on the year prior to Wednesday's three-hit showing, and he's now hitting a respectable .273/.385/.545 through eight games. Suzuki should continue to see the bulk of playing time at backstop until Tyler Flowers (oblique) is healthy.

Suzuki is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals. Suzuki has started three of the past four games since returning from a hand injury, but he'll head to the bench for what appears to be a regular day off Tuesday. In his place, Carlos Perez will start behind the dish and hit eighth.

    • Braves' Kurt Suzuki: Returns to lineup
      By RotoWire Staff

Suzuki (hand) is in the lineup Friday against the Rockies, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Suzuki was hit on the hand by a pitch in late March and missed a week of action. The Braves will certainly be happy to have him back, as Tyler Flowers (oblique) is out for a month. With Flowers not available, Suzuki should be the Braves' primary catcher for the next several weeks.
