    • Tigers' Jim Adduci: Outrighted by Tigers
      By RotoWire Staff

Adduci was taken off the Tigers' 40-man roster Thursday. Adduci joined the big-league team for a few weeks after the All-Star break, and spent a two-week stay in Detroit back in early May, but was never able to latch on with the team. He wound up slashing .241/.323/.398 with one home run and 10 RBI in 29 games for the Tigers, and hit .288 in 55 contests for Triple-A Toledo.

      By RotoWire Staff

Adduci was optioned to Triple-A Toledo following Friday's loss to the Twins, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. The Tigers activated Alex Presley from the 10-day DL following the game, and Adduci was bumped to make room. He'll likely get regular playing time with Toledo and could find himself back at the MLB level once rosters expand in September.

    • Adduci is out of the lineup Friday against Minnesota, It's the second straight off night for Adduci, who has been starting in right field as Alex Presley remains on the disabled list with an oblique injury. The rest will give Adduci another night to try and reset his mind in order to break him out of the 3-for-22 funk he's been in. Andrew Romine will replace him and bat eighth in the series opener.

    • Tigers' Jim Adduci: Not in Thursday lineup
      By RotoWire Staff

Adduci is out of the lineup Thursday against the Pirates. Adduci has started seven of the last eight games in right field, but will take a seat in favor of Andrew Romine for the series finale. It's been a bit of a tough stretch for Adduci, who recorded a multi-hit game Aug. 2, but is 3-for-22 at the plate since.

    • Adduci will start in right field and bat second Wednesday against the Yankees. Adduci looks bound to split duties in right field with Andrew Romine while Alex Presley (oblique) remains on the disabled list, but there will be room for both players in the lineup Wednesday, as Romine substitutes in at shortstop for the injured Jose Iglesias (wrist). Though it's good to see Adduci occupying a prominent spot in the batting order, he'll need to perform a little better before warranting a look outside of AL-only leagues. Adduci finished July with one hit in 13 at-bats and struck out six times.
