  • Aaron Wilkerson: Re-signs with KBO team

    Wilkerson re-signed Thursday with the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports. Wilkerson's new one-year deal carries $750,000 in guaranteed money and another $200,000 in performance-based bonuses. The 34-year-old right-hander was released from a minor-league agreement with the Athletics this past July and went on to post a 2.26 ERA and 81:20 K:BB across 79.2 innings (13 starts) in the KBO. He last appeared in a major-league game in 2019 with the Brewers.

  • Aaron Wilkerson: Finds work in Korea

    Wilkerson agreed to a one-year, $250,000 contract with the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization on Tuesday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. The deal includes up to $100,000 in incentives. Wilkerson had spent the 2023 season in the Athletics organization and compiled a 6.51 ERA and 1.60 WHIP while striking out 53 over 47 innings at Triple-A Las Vegas before he was granted free agency last week to pursue the opportunity overseas. The 34-year-old right-hander has previously made 14 appearances at the big-league level, but none since 2019.

  • Athletics' Aaron Wilkerson: Joins Oakland on minors deal

    Wilkerson signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Sunday. Wilkerson spent the 2022 season with the Hanshin Tigers of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball while submitting a 4.01 ERA with a 66:28 K:BB over 89.2 innings. The right-hander is expected to report to Triple-A Las Vegas and will provide some organizational depth for Oakland in 2023.
