Martin got the start in this preseason contest with Paul George (knee) sidelined, and it wouldn't be surprising if he gets the start in the regular-season opener against the Bucks on Oct. 23 if George isn't 100 percent ready to return. Martin played a career-low 12.4 minutes per game in 2023-24 while seeing time with the Clippers and 76ers across 60 regular-season appearances, and if he starts in the regular-season opener, he'd likely play a minimal role in the offensive scheme.
