Coach Nick Nurse said Sunday that Maxey (thumb) is "okay" and was only pulled from Friday's preseason matchup against the Magic as a precautionary measure, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Maxey logged five minutes before being pulled due to a right thumb contusion Friday. However, the 23-year-old is expected to be fully healthy ahead of Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Bucks and should not face a minutes restriction to begin the season.
