McKinnie signed a second 10-day contract with the Bulls on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Even though Chicago returned to action Sunday after having two games postponed due to COVID-19-related concerns on the roster, the Bulls are still without several players, so McKinnie will stick around with the club for a second 10-day hardship exemption. After playing 17 minutes in Sunday's 115-110 win over the Lakers, McKinnie could take on an even greater role Monday with Derrick Jones (hamstring) joining the Bulls' long list of players sitting out.
