Canaan agreed to a two-year deal with the Bulls Tuesday, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Canaan joins a crew of brand new point guards for the Bulls that includes Rajon Rondo and Jerian Grant. While Rondo pretty much has the starting point guard position locked in, Canaan should be in strong contention with Grant to serve as the team's primary backup. He is coming off a pair of fairly productive seasons with the 76ers where he averaged double-digit points, but failed to impress with his assist numbers, recording just 3.1 per game in 2014-15 and 1.8 in 2015-16. He did, however, shoot a solid 36 percent from three in his time there, as Canaan will continue to serve as a scoring point guard in this league.
