Ball (knee) will take a 10-day break from running after his surgically repaired left knee did not respond well to a recent ramp-up, Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Last week, the Bulls revealed that Ball's rehab wasn't progressing quite as quickly as they'd hoped, and this latest news is another indication that he may struggle to return before the conclusion of the regular season. The plan is for Ball to cease running for the next week-and-a-half and instead focus on strengthening his left knee, on which he underwent surgery back in late January. Ball will be re-evaluated around the end of the month, at which point it should become clear whether or not he'll have a realistic chance to come back before the playoffs.
