The final games before the 2022 All-Star break are approaching. Players who've recently been traded or taken on more prominent roles with their original teams can provide a boost in the coming days, and addressing roster weaknesses now can help you dominate the back half of the year. There are a few targets we've singled out as priorities.
So who should managers try to buy ahead of the deadline? Here are four options to consider:
Four to buy
- Buddy Hield: Hield's move to Indiana has worked wonders for his Fantasy value. The former Kings sniper is averaging 20 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 39 minutes per game with the Pacers. He and Tyrese Haliburton should do Indiana's heavy lifting on offense for the rest of the season. Hield could very well finish as a top-10 shooting guard if he maintains his current level of play.
- Mikal Bridges: Bridges flies under the radar playing with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton. The Suns' premier 3-and-D wing is amid one of the best stretches in his career, though. While his scoring average for the year (13.4 points) is down for last season, he's averaging 18.8 points on 60 percent shooting in February.
- Justise Winslow: Winslow is on the rise after just six games with the Trail Blazers. Portland's new forward is reviving his career following his move from Los Angeles. He's averaging 12.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists with the Trail Blazers and is impacting games on defense as well. Winslow's rostership has tripled in Week 18, and Fantasy managers might even be able to snag him off the waiver wire ahead of the All-Star break.
- Montrezl Harrell: Harrell's long been a strong Fantasy option off the bench, and becoming a Hornet could fuel his resurgence. His role was threatened following Thomas Bryant's return to action in Washington, but he's a major part of the rotation backing up Mason Plumlee. Harrell's playing time has increased with each game in Charlotte, and he's averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 28.3 minutes since being traded. If he can recapture the early-season form he had with the Wizards, he'll be one of the better Fantasy bigs up for grabs.
