Morant (knee) will be a game-time decision for Monday's matchup against the Thunder, but coach Taylor Jenkins implied that the star guard is likely to play, Chris Herrington of the Daily Memphian reports.
Prior to Monday morning, Morant was essentially still without a timetable, so his expected return Monday comes as a major pleasant surprise -- both for the Grizzlies and for fantasy managers. Morant will likely still need to go through pregame warmups before a final call is made on his status, but all indications are that he's trending in the right direction. If he does, in fact, play Monday, Morant will end up missing only 12 games with the sprained knee he sustained back on Nov. 26 against Atlanta.
