Wells is starting Thursday's game against the Bucks.
Wells will draw his first NBA start due to the absences of Marcus Smart (ankle), Luke Kennard (foot), Desmond Bane (oblique) and Vince Williams (lower leg) to name a few. Wells should see significant playing time Thursday in the backcourt along with Scotty Pippen and Yuki Kawamura.
