Yabusele recently underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from both of his feet and is not likely to play in this year's summer league, Chris Fosberg of ESPN reports.

Yabusele was selected by the Celtics with the 16h overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft but spent much of last season in China before playing in the D-League in March. Yabusele averaged 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per game with the Maine Red Claws during their playoff run and potentially could have joined Boston for the 2017-18 season had they left a roster spot open for him. The team will likely update update the big man's status throughout the summer, but his absence from summer league surely won't help ease his transition into the NBA.
