Hawks' Dennis Schroder: Goes off for 24 points, six assists Monday

Schroder registered 24 points (10-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, two steals, one rebound and one block across 34 minutes in Monday's 105-100 loss to the Warriors.

Schroder had a string of poor performances leading into Monday, but the point guard arguably outperformed his counterpart, Stephen Curry, and kept the Hawks within striking distance. While Schroder has seen a nine-minute jump in average playing time from 2015-16, he hasn't quite made as sizable of a leap in scoring and assists as those who drafted him may have anticipated, but his 14.6 points and 5.5 assists per game still make him a must-start player in most every league.
