The Heat plan to sign Chalmers to a 10-day contract Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Chalmers recently signed with the G League's Grand Rapids Gold and will now sign with the Heat since Miami is shorthanded in the backcourt. Across his two appearances with the Gold, he averaged 8.5 points and 3.0 assists in 27.9 minutes per game.
