Williams was assigned to the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Sunday.
Williams has made just three appearances for the Hornets this season and hasn't played in an NBA game since Oct. 28, when he registered seven points across seven minutes in a loss at Orlando. The former Duke standout should see far more playing time with Greensboro.
