Bridges will start Monday's preseason opener against the Thunder.

The Hornets will go with Bridges, Mason Plumlee and Gordon Hayward up front, while P.J. Washington will presumably serve as the first big man off the bench. Washington, who started 61 of 64 appearances last season, is considered the likely starter at power forward, so how the minutes break down between him and Bridges will be worth monitoring throughout the preseason. With Gordon Hayward battling an injury over the final month-and-a-half of last season, Bridges closed on an extremely strong run, averaging 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 blocks and 2.9 made threes over his final 19 games.
