Cousins will sit out Thursday's game against the Timberwolves for rest purposes, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Cousins has now played just one game in the last eight days after resting against the Nuggets last Saturday and serving a one-game suspension against the Heat last Friday. Coach George Karl said last weekend that Cousins would play in the Kings' final three home games before sitting out the final two road games of the season, but it appears he's decided to switch up his rest plan for the star big man. It's now anyone's guess whether or not Cousins will play at all before the season concludes, so his status remains worth tracking on a game-by-game basis. With Cousins out for at least Thursday's game, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos will likely both be asked to assume big minutes up front.
