Samanic tallied 32 points (12-23 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot over 33 minutes in Westchester's win over Long Island on Wednesday.
Samanic sat out the previous three games due to a bruised heel, but he looked explosive in Wednesday's victory. The 21-year-old led Westchester in scoring and tied for the team lead in rebounds. He was a first-round NBA draft pick by the Spurs in 2019 and is now on a two-way contract with the Knicks, so there is a chance that he could see some time in the Association at some point this season under the right circumstances if he continues to play well.
