Jones agreed Monday with the Lakers on a 10-day contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Los Angeles currently has six players in the COVID-19 health and safety protocols and another two players out with long-term injuries, so Jones will be joining the Lakers on a hardship exemption. He had been suiting up this season with the G League's Wisconsin Herd, averaging 8.3 boards across 25.7 minutes per game. The New Mexico State product hasn't played in the NBA since he appeared in six contests for the Lakers in 2018-19.
