Lakers' Jose Calderon: Ruled out for Tuesday

Calderon (calf) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Warriors, but hopes to be available for Friday's preseason finale against the Suns, Serena Winters of LakersNation.com reports.

The Lakers are reportedly holding him out for precautionary reasons, so the injury isn't expected to be a serious issue. Calderon will sit out the next few days for additional recovery, but is currently hoping to be available for Friday's finale. With that said, he should be good to go for the regular season opener, so look for Calderon to operate as the Lakers' backup point guard behind D'Angelo Russell.
