James closed Friday's 141-137 3OT loss to the Kings with 30 points (10-25 FG, 2-13 3Pt, 8-11 FT), seven rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 50 minutes.
James, Anthony Davis (49 minutes) and Russell Westbrook (51) all played huge minutes in the loss, and all three struggled down the stretch as the Lakers blew yet another lead and couldn't close out a lowly Kings team on their home court. While James got to 30 points, he shot an inefficient 10-of-25 from the field, hitting only two of his 13 attempts from three. The four-time MVP also committed seven turnovers and finished as a minus-seven. The Lakers have an off day Saturday before hosting the Pistons on Sunday. They then have a rematch with the Kings on Tuesday -- one of only two contests on their Week 7 schedule.
