James (abdomen) received a one-game suspension for his role in Sunday's altercation with the Isaiah Stewart of the Pistons, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. James will serve the ban Tuesday against the Knicks.
In its statement the NBA said James was suspended "for recklessly hitting Stewart in the face and initiating an on-court altercation." Stewart was banned two games for his role in the incident. James was initially considered questionable for Tuesday due to his abdominal injury, but he'll now look to return to action in the second half of the back-to-back set Wednesday at Indiana.
