The Lakers assigned Christie to South Bay on Tuesday, Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com reports.
Christie's made nine appearances at the NBA level this season, but he was only part of the regular rotation for a four-game stretch in mid-November. The rookie second-round pick figures to get extended run during his stint in the G League.
