Wagner and the Magic agreed Wednesday on a two-year contract, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

After stints with the Wizards and Celtics to open last season, Wagner joined the Magic in late April, when he became a free agent after being released by Boston. He played a key role down the stretch for an Orlando frontcourt decimated by injuries, averaging 11.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.1 assists in 25.9 minutes per contest. Now that he's elected to re-sign with the Magic, Wagner will have the opportunity to play with younger brother Franz Wagner, whom Orlando selected with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. With Wendell Carter expected to serve as Orlando's starting center in 2021-22 and with Mo Bamba and Robin Lopez under contract on expiring deals, Wagner will likely open the season outside of the rotation if the aforementioned players are healthy.
