Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Minor role in preseason

Powell posted four points (2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and two steals in nine minutes during Wednesday's 121-94 preseason win over the Lakers.

Powell averaged 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 14.4 minutes across four preseason games. With Daniel Gafford (ankle) banged up, Powell may be in store for elevated minutes behind Dereck Lively and Anthony Davis to begin the regular season.
