The Mavericks announced Sunday that they have requested waivers on Omoruyi (toe).
Omoruyi recently underwent surgery on his right big toe and is expected to be sidelined 4-6 months. The 24-year-old is expected to make a full recovery and will now need to wait 48 hours to clear waivers before he can sign with another team. Omoruyi averaged 1.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in four games with the Mavericks.
