The Pelicans assigned Daniels (knee) to the G League's Birmingham Squadron on Tuesday.
Daniels hasn't played since Feb. 9 while recovering from knee surgery, but he'll have a chance to work with the G League club in the coming days. He'll be available for Birmingham's game against the Blue on Wednesday, and he appears to be trending toward a return to game action for the parent club in the near future.
