Pelicans' Jonas Valanciunas: Officially out Monday

Valanciunas (thumb) will not play Monday against the Timberwolves, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

The big man was doubtful coming into the day due to a strained right thumb, so his absence doesn't come as much of a surprise. With Zion Williamson (foot) also out, Jaxson Hayes could be set for extended minutes up front.
