Alexander-Walker posted 27 points (10-16 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 26 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 win over the Trail Blazers.
Alexander-Walker closed the game on fire, scoring 18 of his 27 points in the final quarter. It was the third straight win for the Pelicans and one of the better performances in recent times for Alexander-Walker. Despite the opportunity, things have not panned out as hoped for the third-year guard, who is averaging a modest 13.8 points per game on 37.2 shooting. Perhaps this performance can get him moving in the right direction. Until we see more consistency, he should be viewed as more of a streamer than anything else.
