Adams has been diagnosed with a right first MTP sprain and will be out for the remainder of Tuesday's contest against the Warriors, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports. He posted one point (0-3 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 24 minutes.
Adams has some time to recover, as the Pelicans don't play again until Friday against the 76ers. Even so, the fact that he aggravated the sprained toe in his first game back from a three-game absence doesn't bode well for his chances of avoiding more missed time. If Adams is indeed held out Tuesday, Willy Hernangomez and Jaxson Hayes would cover most of the minutes at center.
