The 21-year-old last addressed the situation at Media Day on Sept. 30, stating that there was "no timeline right now," with the matter fully in the hands of the league and NBA Players Association, per Omari Sankofa of the Detroit Free Press. Thompson appears to be out indefinitely until further updates emerge.
